5G Home Launch - verizon x Amazon
BRIEF
Verizon 5G Home needed to drive brand awareness and educate customers on the availability, value, and facts surrounding their new 5G Home Internet service across the US. Verizon is a strategic partner, with several BD deals spanning Retail, Devices, and Advertising. Amazon was tasked with creating a unique, geo-targeted shopping experience for customers to enjoy and learn more about 5G.
ROLE
As General Manager, I was responsible for partnering directly with Amazon Devices, Custom Ads Creative, and Verizon to spearhead one of the 1st partnerships on Amazon that was intended to debunk myths around 5G mobile cellular networks.
My approach was to ensure that every touchpoint, whether the talent selection or design aesthetics, resonated with the techie spirit of Verizon’s core audience and put to rest COVID-19-era fictional tales. Aligning Amazon’s biggest bets (e.g. Devices) with a compelling campaign that captured the essence of technology powering everyday life and connection…was crucial. My top priority was to amplify Verizon's 5G messaging through unique-to-Amazon experiences that can reach customers at scale and humanize 5G experiences.
